Mickey is our sweet 3-4 year old, Black Lab mix that is available for adoption at our Humane Society. She loves to be outdoors, and has had so much fun going on fun day adventures with our volunteers. Mickey is housebroken, loves to ride in the car, enjoys swimming and fetching toys. She loves people and just wants to be your best friend and join in some fun outdoor activities! Mickey came to our animal shelter because she ran away from home in Potsdam. Neighbors decided to drive her over an hour to our facility because they did not want the owner to get her back. This was obviously not fair to Mickey or the owner, so we contacted the Potsdam Humane Society, and then the owner. Sadly, he was unable to keep Mickey from escaping from his house because he was blind. He decided to leave Mickey in our care to be placed up for adoption to a new home. Mickey loves to be able to hang out or get out for some fun with our shelter staff and volunteers. Mickey has been tested around other dogs, cats and children. She is an assertive/dominant type female dog, and has only ever been accepting of another submissive male dog that let her be "top dog". She needs a home without cats, and is most comfortable around kids over the age of 10. Mickey is already spayed, fully vaccinated, tested negative for Heartworm and Lyme disease and microchipped.
